Welcome to the Treescape Gallery.
Trees and treescapes continue to grow in demand and popularity. I paint trees however they speak to me, as realistic, gilded, cut out, and gessoed. They have been painted on rag paper, mulberry and heavy kozo papers using black and gray sumi inks, rich brown walnut inks, watercolor and gouache. The original tree art in this gallery are an eclectic collection of everything from minimalist traditional to sumi-e painting to contemporary abstract, with new images being added regularly.
Most of the larger images have been painted as pairs while the smaller pieces work well as sets of two, three, four square, or nine.
